Veterans Day Ceremony
Please join us to help show our Placer County appreciation and support for those that are serving at home and in harm’s way around the world.
As always, patriotic bunting will decorate the McBean Park entrance and monument perimeter. Prof. Rockola’s patriotic music will help set the mood, and Bagpiper Seán Cummings’ military medley will add to the excitement of the event. Vocalist Lynsey Bostick will present the National Anthem, accompanied by a ceremonial flyover.
The program will include welcoming remarks by Lincoln Mayor Richard Pearl, followed by brief Veterans Day addresses from Placer County Supervisor Suzanne Jones, Lincoln Mayor Richard Pearl, Rocklin Mayor David Bass and other distinguished state and local officials. The ceremony will conclude with a color guard presentation and a 21-gun salute. There will be a special message from Col. Joe Peterburs a WWII P-51 pilot that flew 49 missions and served in Korea and Vietnam. Panel #9 of the Placer County Veterans Monument will be unveiled and is scheduled at the end of the ceremony.
