Placer County Superintendent of Schools Honors Six Amazing School Employees

AUBURN, CA (MPG) - Placer County Superintendent of Schools Gayle Garbolino-Mojica is pleased to announce the following 2021 Placer County Classified School Employees of the Year:

  • Katherine Voigt, Child Nutrition, Roseville Joint Union High School District
  • Jose Macias, Maintenance, Operations & Facilities, Rocklin Unified School District
  • Ronda Black, Office & Technical, Placer Union High School District
  • Michele Berni, Para-Educator & Instructional Assistance, Newcastle Elementary School District
  • Julie Summey, Support Services & Security, Placer County Office of Education (PCOE)
  • Derek Bosserman, Transportation, Tahoe Truckee Unified School District

“It takes an entire school community to ensure our students are ready for college, career and life,” said Superintendent Garbolino-Mojica. “As the Placer County Superintendent of Schools, I am honored to recognize these amazing individuals for their commitment and contribution in making Placer County gold in education.”

This year, 36 classified school employees from all across the county were nominated from their respective districts and charter school systems in the following categories: Child Nutrition; Maintenance, Operations and Facilities; Office and Technical; Para-Educator and Instructional Assistance; Support Services and Security; and, Transportation. Nominees were judged on work performance, school community involvement, leadership and commitment.
