AUBURN, CA (MPG) – BriarPatch Food Co-op Auburn is hosting “Fifty Shades of Grape (& Chocolate) - A Fine Wine and Fabulous Chocolate Nosh,” a fun, casual wine and chocolate tasting event in the café on Thursday, Feb. 13, 6 to 8 p.m. Whether it’s red, red wine or tiny bubbles that folks are craving, we’ll have plenty of both. And of course, the chocolate will be representing, because these two things absolutely do go hand-in-hand.

Participants are invited to indulge in a curated selection of organically produced wines and ethically sourced (and delicious!) chocolates. Our expert tasting sherpas will mingle among attendees to volunteer assistance in the self-guided pairing journey. Whether folks stay a while or come by for a quick nosh, we’re looking forward to a fun and fabulous pre-Valentine's Day event!

“Events like this are a great opportunity for people to come and see what we have to offer beyond our everyday shopping experience. We’re really looking forward to sharing a delicious lineup of wine and chocolate combinations from some great producers!  Whether you’re celebrating Galentine’s or Valentine’s Day, or you’re just up for some fun, this is the perfect low-key evening out,” said Katee Gustavson, BriarPatch Food Co-op Community Engagement Coordinator.

This event benefits Ujamaa Farmer Collective, a local farmer collective working to provide access to resources for the success of Black farmers in the Sacramento region.
