Rocklin High School Dominates Placer County Academic Decathlon for Fifth Straight Year

ROCKLIN, CA (MPG) – Rocklin High School (Rocklin
Unified School District) has once again demonstrated academic excellence,
winning the 2025 Placer County Academic Decathlon for the fifth year in a row
with an impressive final score of 33,423.2. The team will now advance to represent
Placer County in the California Academic Decathlon, where they will compete
against top teams from across the state.

“We are incredibly proud of our students and their accomplishments,” said Placer County Superintendent of Schools Gayle Garbolino-Mojica. “Their dedication to academic excellence continues to inspire our entire school community.”
Aniridh Annareddy from Rocklin High School also claimed the top spot as a Gold Super Decathlete, earning the highest cumulative score from all ten events. Additionally, Radian Hong was recognized with the Student Leadership Award for the Rocklin team for his role in fostering collaboration, academic growth, and team success.

The competition featured four teams from across the county from Antelope High School (Roseville Joint Union High School District), Rocklin High School (Rocklin Unified School District), Roseville High School (Roseville Joint Union High School Distroct), and Western Sierra Collegiate Academy (Rocklin Academy Family of Schools), with students showcasing their knowledge in subjects ranging from mathematics and science to art and literature. More than 100 individual accolades were awarded to Placer County teams, including 38 bronze, 36 silver and 35 gold medals.
